During the day the activities team organises a great range of holiday entertainment with activities that makes use of the resort's two heated pools and state of the art swim spa, tennis and basket ball courts, gymnasium and games room. 

The fun is for all ages and the Resort's free Kids Club Fun Park, which operates daily, adds to its appeal as a family holiday destination. A fully licensed creche caters for children aged 0 to 5 years inclusive.

Accommodation

Our 405 rooms include single, double and triple accommodation as well as Family Studio rooms with kitchenettes, with Family Interconnects, which sleep up to 8 family members. All rooms feature individual air-conditioning, private balcony, ISD/STD direct dial telephone, remote controlled colour television, in-house videos, pay TV, digital clock radio and alarm, tea and coffee making facilities, disabled facilities, shower and bath. Interconnecting rooms are also a great option for the larger family

Mercure Resort Surfers Paradise has been transformed to include the greatest Resort Kids Club ever seen in Australia. A million dollar mini fun park of pure fantasy, fun and excitement involving themed play spaces, including lunar walk, pirate ship and "Little Town's" mini cars.

We don't forget the little ones either with a fully licensed child care centre "Junior Gecko", with qualified staff caring for those aged 0-5 years inclusive. Rebates are applicable against fees in accordance with the Government Child Care assistance scheme.

Gecko Club Fun Park for children aged 5 to 12 years offers a fully supervised activity programme that is free of charge. Session times are from 8.30am - 12noon, 12.30pm - 4.00pm, & 4.30pm - 8.30pm daily, with extended hours to 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.
